Joe Dumars Names Michael Curry as Pistons Head Coach

It's official Michel Curry is The Pistons new Head Coach.

"The Associated Press reports the Pistons have hired assistant coach and former player Michael Curry as their new head coach. The Pistons have scheduled a news conference for noon tomorrow at the Palace of Auburn Hills.Curry was an assistant on Flip Saunders' staff last season, his first stint as a coach of any kind.Last Tuesday, president of basketball operations Joe Dumars said at that newsconference that the team would move quickly on hiring a new coach.According to the Associated Press, Curry agreed to a three-year deal worth $2.5 million a year guaranteed with the team holding the option for a fourth season.A former co-captain for the Pistons, Curry played in Detroit from 1996-97 and 1999-2003. He's a former teammate of Dumars and several current Pistons, including Chauncey Billups, Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince."Via The Detroit Free Press

I don't know if this is the right choice for coach cause Avery Johnson was out there too. I hope Joe Dumars knows what he is doing.
