Derrick Jasper and Billy Gillispie talking about transfer

Here are some of the quotes of billy Gillespie and Derrick Jasper about the Transfer.

“The decision to transfer is in no way an indication of my experience playing for UK,” Jasper said. “I feel at this point in my life, it is important for me to be close to my family, and I intend to transfer to a school closer to the west coast where I can see my family more often, and they can see me play.
“It was not an easy decision for me to make, since the fans have been so wonderful and very supportive of my teammates and me. I want to thank Coach Gillispie and the entire UK coaching staff for their guidance and support they have given me these past two years. I have grown a tremendous amount as a basketball player, and most importantly a person and feel it is largely due to the people involved with the UK basketball program.”

And a few words from Coach Clyde:

“It’s a disappointment to lose Derrick, who was fantastic for us both as a person and a basketball player,” UK Head Coach Billy Gillispie said. “He had to battle through some injuries, but he was always willing to sacrifice for the good of the team.
“I appreciate that Derrick was patient and took his time to make certain that this decision was what he felt was best for his future. We wish him all the best. Where ever he decides to attend will be getting an outstanding player who takes his academics very seriously.”

Rajon Rondo and Celtics makeing a BIG Statement

I had a fun time watching the Boston and Detroit game. It was mostly a close game throughout the game.

Let's start again about Tayshaun Prince. His performance last night was a whole lot better than any of the other games in the Eastern Conference Finals. He had only 1 point before halftime but flipped the switch in the third quarter and got 9 points. Plus he held pierce to a everage game. It was not enouph though, to stop Rajon Rondo and the Celtics. Congrats to the Celtics for advanceing to the Finals against the Lakers.

The air Up there

Here is a picture of Jared Carter on the cover of the movie The Air Up There.
Jared did good up in africa last night by having a team high 15 points and Ramon Harris chipped in 8. Their team won 76-64. Good job to them last night.

Detorit in game 6

The Detroit and Boston Game is on tonight and Boston has a game lead. The Pistons I think is worn out in this series. Only because they have to chase the Boston Three Party all game long. That's why I think Tayshaun Prince is not doing good on the offensive end cause he is tired guarding pierce or allan all game long. My apologies to Tayshaun on the previous posts. All night I stayed up and thought about the game and how Tayshaun would do and I think this is where he is going to do good not just on the defensive end but on the offensive end too. Its now or never for Tayshaun Prince. By the way Tayshaun has had a good series about his defense. Paul Pierce had people guard him 100% and still punished them, see, you have to guard him 150% percent to have him average 20 a game. Kudos to Tayshaun. I have the Pistons in game 6 to win to go to game 7 in Boston.

Here is a video of Lindsey Hunter talking about game 6 with Steven A. Smith.

The one-and-done rule

the SEC basketball coaches now want to go to the NBA and challenge the one-and-done rule. The conference formed a sub-committee who includes Bruce Pearl, Billy Donavon, Alabama’s Mark Gottfried and LSU’s Trent Johnson. They are Hoping that the NBA Changes the one-and-done rule. Athletes in my opinion should got to college for basketball for at least 3 years like NCAA football has to go to school for 3-4years before going to the Draft. I have seen some kids come right out of HIGH SCHOOL to the NBA because he wanted to make the big bucks and sign autographs. If they would have gone to school in college for at least 3 years then he would be more experienced and had a better career in the NBA.

Lakers Move On

Looks like the Los angelous Lakers moved on to the NBA Finals by Beating the Spurs 100-92. I really thought that the Spurs could pull it out by winning on the road because they were the most experianced team. At the beginning of the year I had San Antonio at the NBA Finals playing Detroit. Personnally, I can't stand the Spurs but I was really hoping that they would win the series and play Detroit. Thats not going to happen couse not only did they loose the Detroit Pistons will Probably loose in either game 6 or game 7. But this was the only year I had respect for The defending Champs. Kudos for Kobe for makeing the Finals again.

Jared Carter and Romon Harris in Africa

Here are some pictures of Ramon Harris and Jared Carter in action over seas in Africa.

Celtics up by 1 Game

3 to 2

The Pistons lost last night. No shocker there. I don't understand of how the Detroit pistons always choke in the eastern conference finals. Ever since they fired Larry Brown they have not advanced to the NBA Finals. Its like they already have what they need (Championship) from 2004 so they don't need to play anymore. What kills me the most is they play well in one game and then play like they are the last team in the NBA the next. I just don't get it.

Tayshaun Prince once again sucked it up last night by only having 8 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. That's not getting the job done.
Rajon rondo still isn't right with his shot but in my previous post I said that he needs to pass the ball to one of the Future Hall of Famers and don't do anything stupid with the Basketball. He had 10 points 13 assists, and 1 Turn over. That's a huge improvement then his previous games.

If Detroit wants a shot at game 7 then they need Tayshaun to step it up on the Offensive end.
I have the Pistons in Game 6 to go to game 7.

Derrick Jasper officially Gone

Derrick Jasper is officially moved out of Kentucky. This is a guy that if we did not have this season we would have lost up to 6 games. Good luck to Jasper and his basketball career.
